World-class Scientific Institutes Unveil New Technologies
at Groundbreaking Exhibition and Conference
Technologies available to U.S. industries for the first time
will fuel economic growth
World-class scientists and engineers from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan are preparing to unveil
innovative technologies, largely inaccessible to U.S companies, at the first Partnerships for
Prosperity & Security exhibition and conference in Philadelphia, Pa, November 5-6, 2003.

U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration,
and produced by the United States Industry Coalition (USIC)
will include a number of distinguished
government officials and industry leaders from the four countries, while the exhibit will feature
100 high technology products ready for commercialization in the following areas:

Partnerships for Prosperity & Security
The U.S. Department of Energy has been a leader in creating peaceful commercial opportunities for
former Soviet Union weapons scientists, engineers and technicians through a variety of programs.
Since 1994, U.S. industry has joined with DOE to form
partnerships with Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakhstani institutes or private companies to bring new
technologies to the global market.
Now, with the achievements and lessons-learned of the past nine years, DOE is encouraging U.S. industry to cultivate and develop business-to-business partnerships. While challenges remain in Russia and elsewhere, there is a wealth of experience and resources available to assist interested U.S. companies to expand their markets, enhance their capabilities, and create profitable new partnerships.
Partnerships for Prosperity & Security is designed to help U.S. industry understand those risks and benefits, and to confidently take advantage of dynamic new business opportunities in three technology powerhouses: Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
This exhibition-conference will feature some of the most exciting new technologies developed in the national institutes and spin-off companies in these three countries. The technologies to be exhibited in Philadelphia were selected following a competitive application process.
